Pediatric Dentistry of Kendall

Our mission is to provide the finest available dental care to children and adolescents including those with special healthcare needs while insuring a positive experience for the future, a practical and affordable approach to dental care and a beautiful smile.

We love kids and we understand what they need to feel comfortable in a dental office. Our environment was designed specifically for children and includes open bays, private treatment areas, accessible games, toys and family movies. Just as important, we treat kids with respect and explain every step of their dental care in age-appropriate, child-friendly terms. It is our goal that your child develops and maintains a positive association with dental care and that we do everything we can to create a pleasant, supportive and fun environment for them and for you.

Dental Services

Infant Exam: Parents are encouraged to participate in this basic exam that is designed to counsel parents on feeding habits and dental hygiene for their baby or toddler.

Preventive Care: We recommend routine cleanings every 6 months, periodic x-rays, fluoride treatment, and applying sealants to prevent tooth decay.

Fluoride: Our doctors and staff have taken the time to research the levels of fluoride within Palm Beach County. Amounts of fluoride vary from one area to another. We can determine if supplemental fluoride may or may not be recommended.

Sealant: One of the most important preventive treatments is the application of Sealants. A sealant is a protective coating applied to the chewing surface of the primary and permanent molars. Deep grooves are hard to reach with a toothbrush, therefore allowing bacteria to form and cause decay. Sealants act as a barrier, protecting the decay-prone surfaces of the teeth.

X-rays: Because we are committed to your child’s overall health and comfort, we use digital radiographs to limit exposure of radiation by more than 90%.

Procedures: These include filling cavities, nerve treatments, extractions, and placing crowns and space maintainers.

Sedation: We use different levels of sedation depending on the child’s needs. Nitrous Oxide, also called “laughing gas,” is a very mild sedation that lessens anxiety. A Conscious Sedation is when we add another mild sedative to provide a deeper level of sedation while the child still remains conscious. We also provide I.V. Sedation, or deep sedation, which is administered by a board certified M.D. pediatric anesthesiologist along with a registered pediatric nurse. For more info go to PediatricSedation.com.
